SMG-60
Manufacturer: Tippmann
Year: 1987
The Tippmann SMG-60 was the first Semi, and Full Auto gun to market. This was also the first gun to have built in constant air. Coupled with a very unique feed system, and .62 caliber paintballs that fired an amazing 600 rpm, this was the most feared paintball gun in the day.
The older SMG's are easily told by both the external line and bead site. (The site was a small looking bb pellet). The newer SMG's had the internal line, and plastic site, that wraped around the barrel and was pushed on. The plastic sites often came off, so you see many SMG's with out them.
The original SMG stripper clips were black molded plastic, but players often lost them on the field. To solve this, Tippmann started using bright orange clips. >>More
