Redux

Redux

Manufacturer: VKC
Year: 2005

The DD68 Redux is a Nelson-based stockgun, designed to replicate the look and feel of the original Desert Duck paintguns made by Dave Loo.

The Redux follows the Nel-Spot layout, with the CO2 powerlet located inside the grip frame feeding up into the valve body. The pump action is controlled with a full body cosmetic slide, to which the stock feed is bolted. Loo and Carter ducks had welded feeds. The front compensator may be removed, and has a milled pocket inside which can be used to hide trinkets.

The original pre-order price was $599, through I&I Sports. However, the price for a brand new Redux is now over $1,000 as of 2010.

The barrels utilize freak inserts for correct sizing of paint for better accuracy and to prevent roll outs.
